Why have your roof cleaned?

Moss repeatedly tumbling from your roof onto your patio or pathways can become an unsightly nuisance and can lead to gutters becoming blocked repeatedly, resulting in potential damp issues to the eaves and walls of your house. Having your roof cleaned will resolve these issues and can also dramatically enhance the appearance of your property.

Our roof cleaning process.

The process involves gently scraping the roof tiles, using extendable poles and a specialist scraper tool designed specifically to fit the profile of your roof tile.

The next step is to clear the gutters and any fallen debris from the surrounding area. We will then apply a biocide treatment to the roof which kills any moss/lichen/algae spores, leaving your roof looking cleaner for longer.

We can usually complete the process in 1 to 3 days and we typically have a lead time of around 4 to 6 weeks from when the booking is made.

For bungalows or low roofs we can often work from ground level with no access equipment being necessary. For everything else we use either a mobile scaffold tower or ladders for access and work from gutter level using poles. We do not need to climb on your roof.

Pricing & Payment.

All roof cleaning quotes require an in person visit to properly measure up, assess the level of soiling and determine the best access arrangements.

Unless you are already an existing window cleaning customer of ours, with an active Direct Debit in place, we require a £100 deposit to make the booking. This is completely refundable up to 48hrs prior to the agreed date of your clean.
